The Animal Genetics Division of INRA France has 5 openings for permanent research positions at the junior research scientist level (CR2)

GABI will recruit two junior research scientists in: Computational biology and bovine sequence data / Genomic selection of cattle and sustainability of livestock production Deadline for registration: 28 February 2012

Computational biology and bovine sequence data

You will play a leading role in the analysis of next-generation DNA cattle sequences obtained in the framework of 1000 genome projects. You will put special emphasis on the near exhaustive determination of polymorphisms in individuals sequenced for genomic selection, and on fine-mapping of segregating QTL. Desired competencies: skills in Quantitative Genetics and Population Genetics, Bioinformatics and Statistics, and High Throughput Data Analysis, good programming knowledge, basic knowledge in Genomics and effective teamwork abilities.
